Bio

Giancarlo Erra is a Fractional CTO, AI strategist and music industry veteran with over 25 years of experience. Based in the UK, he works with SMEs and creative-led businesses on AI strategy and integration, fractional CTO and advisory engagements, and runs his own AI products as a founder. A hands-on strategist, he uses technical depth as leverage rather than as the deliverable. He is also a public speaker and mentor, organises AI summits and hackathons, and has trained thousands of professionals in his AI workshops.

Tech career

Started programming at 14 on an Amiga 500. Worked as a developer, system administrator, then web product owner and technical director. Founded the first tech startup in 2021 and has since launched several AI-focused projects including Tweetify It, Your Vault AI and SocratiCode. Now Lead AI Consultant at Altaire Limited and founder of Promethean Box Ltd.

Creative career

Professional musician for over 20 years. Released albums worldwide first independently and then with a major indie label, with tens of thousands of copies sold. Toured internationally as guitarist and lead singer of Nosound. Active as a solo artist since 2019, focused on soundtracks and electronic music.
